Project title:

MT2ASD – Testing COS01, a novel selective melatonin MT2 receptor agonist, in mouse models of Fragile X syndrome and Phelan-McDermid syndrome.

This ambitious project aims to:

• Characterise sleep alterations and autism spectrum–like phenotypes
• Investigate how COS01 modulates neuronal circuits and molecular pathways
• Develop a formulation and regulatory dossier to support future first-in-human studies

The project brings together an excellent international consortium, including:

• Gabriella Gobbi, McGill University
• Lisa Kelly, Soutien Autisme Soutien

This success highlights the strength of transnational collaboration and the importance of innovative, translational research to advance therapeutic strategies for rare neurodevelopmental disorders.
