DEI Missions

  • The committee implements the policy of professional equality between women and men from Inserm and University of Tours.
  • The committee raises awareness among iBraiN's members regarding gender equality and parity, sexual and ethnic diversity, inclusion.

Areas of work

  • Promoting the principles of Equality Opportunities within iBraiN: Communicating on the Equality Mission of Inserm and University of Tours and its actions; Organizing seminars on the principles of Equality Opportunities.
  • Providing awareness-raising actions and good practices: Disseminating links to information and online training resources through iBraiN mailing-list; Promoting stereotype-free communication with the Communication and Science & Society Relationships Office.
  • Promoting equal visibility of women and men within iBrain: Strengthening communication on the research project led by women; Promoting scientific and medical professions among girls and women with the Communicaton and Science & Society Relationships Office; Ensuring better representation and visibility of women at all steps of research project as well as in the responsabilities within iBrain; Proposing action plans to inform, to encourage and to promote women.
  • Providing support in reporting and handling cases of misconduct: Preventing sexual and moral harassment, and physical violence with iBrain's Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee; Refer all situations violating equal opportunities to competent authorities of Inserm and University of Tours.
