The FHU VEAVE is structured according to its objectives: to reduce (1) the incidence, (2) delays in diagnosis and protection, and (3) the harmful lifelong consequences of violence against children and adolescents. This FHU brings together all the complementary clinical and research expertise needed to prevent and combat violence against children and adolescents and its lifelong consequences, a complex and multifaceted task requiring a transdisciplinary approach. The FHU VEAVE is comprised of a research network unique in its complementary nature (clinical and population epidemiology, health services research and health economics, neurobiology, neuroimaging, brain and peripheral biomarkers, neurogenetics, psychiatry, clinical psychology, neuropsychology, behavioral sciences, including social marketing, educational sciences, demographic sociology, and public law). This FHU brings together a critical mass of 21 clinical teams, 18 research teams, 3 companies and 12 other structures including Santé Publique France, the Paris city hall and the UNESCO chair on child abuse.
