Three-year doctoral grant at the University of Tours in the Inserm Neurofunctional psychiatry team of the iBrain research unit to begin in the Fall of 2021 on the heterogeneity of neurophysiological and language profiles in autism.

In order to identify individual neurophysiological and language profiles of children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), (1) the different steps involved in sensory processing of information will be studied with electroencephalography in three sensory modalities (audition, vision, and tact) with stimuli of increasing complexity, and (2) structural aspects of language (phonology and morphosyntax), simple and complex, will be assessed, in reception and production, via tasks adapted to very young children. The combined analysis of neurophysiological and linguistic measures, associated with behavioral measures of autistic symptoms will make it possible to determine individual bioclinical profiles, thus shedding light on ASD heterogeneity.

Interested candidates should have a Master's degree and relevant experience in neuroscience, linguistics and/or psychology.

For more information, and to apply: Deadline: April 1, 2021.

Prospective candidates should also contact directly Marianne Latinus and/or Laurie Tuller by April 1, 2021.
