Dr. Hélène Blasco becomes Full Professor !
Our colleague Dr. Hélène Blasco, member of the Neurogenomics and Neuronal Physiopathology team, became, this week, full professor. At the University Hospital of Tours, she works in the laboratory of biochemistry and molecular biology (including diagnosis of inherited metabolic diseases). She teaches biochemistry, clinical biochemistry and biostatistics in the faculties of medicine and pharmacy of Tours. In the Neurogenomics and Neuronal Physiopathology team, she develops the multimodal metabolomic approach in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative pathologies such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Her main research line is the research for metabolic profiles or for diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of these pathologies. These biomarkers would also improve the understanding of the physiopathological mechanisms involved in these pathologies.
