1st Regional Conference of the Specialized Centers for Obesity of the Centre-Val de Loire

Obesity, a chronic, frequent and multifactorial disease with many comorbidities, is a major public health problem. Since 2001 and the 1st National Nutrition and Health Plan, Nutrition is at the core of the fight against obesity. In 2011, in response to health professionals, who emphasized the need for more consistent management of obesity, the government created Specialized Centers for Obesity. The region, which is particularly affected by obesity, was awarded two CSOs, one at the MC of Orléans and a second at UMC Tours.

As part of the 1st regional day of the Specialized Centers for Obesity of the Centre-Val de Loire (Event reserved for health professionals), our colleague, Dr. Paul Brunault (Neurofunctional Psychiatry Team) will give a presentation on the eating disorders & obesity !
