We offer a one-year post-doctoral position to take part to a transversal collaborative project that associates the University of Tours, the INSERM unit iBrain U1253, the Labex Mabimprove, the EA4245 research team and the University Hospital of Tours. In order to increase its international partnerships, the University of Tours encourages candidates whose PhD degree has been obtained in a University out of France. The candidate will join the "B Cell Resources Platform" (BCR), part of team EA4245 "Transplantation, immunology and inflammation", that develops human monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic (allergy) and for therapeutic (autoimmune diseases). As part of its activities, the candidate will contribute to the following missions:
  • Define the coherent set of biology techniques necessary for the experimental realization of a scientific project
  • Design the development and lead, as a specialist, the realization of a project in the field of immunology
  • Process the data (analyze, interpret and validate the scientific results)
  • Disseminate and enhance the scientifc results
  • Train and supervise trainees (master and PhD students)
  • Ensure a scientific and technological watch in his field of activities
  • Apply and enforce health and safety rules
  • Participate in the drafting of funding applications.

The candidate should demonstrate having the following practical skills:
Cell culture (lineages, primary cells); ELISA; Western Blot; Flow cytometry; Cellular sorting and magnetic sorting; Classical techniques of molecular biology (PCR, molecular cloning, transfection ...); Purification of HPLC proteins; Antibody engineering
Profile: You have an initial doctoral degree in biology (obtained out of France). You are autonomous, organized, rigorous and very dynamic. You have team spirit and a good relationship skills. Having a first experience on a similar position (post-doc, fixed-term contract ...) is valuated. Experience in immunology and in the field of antibodies is highly recommended.
