18th International Symposium for Therapeutic Ultrasound

The meeting will focus on advances in focused ultrasound technology, applications, and clinical practice, and will be held on the beautiful arboretum campus of Vanderbilt University, which is located in the heart of Nashville. During this symposium, Dr. Ayache Bouakaz will co-head with the Prof. Hao Li Liu the educational session Everything you need to know about ultrasound enhanced drug delivery. In addition, he will co-chair the scientific session Drug Delivery and Nanotechnology with Prof. Marieke Olsman. Finally, Dr. Bouakaz will present the results of two research projects:

• Original research project: Origins and significance of ROS production in the in-vitro sonoporation-mediated gene delivery;
• Cross-cutting project (with Prof. Belzung): Focused ultrasound stimulation ameliorates behaviors and modify distributed brain metabolism in mouse model of depression.
